These records were abstracted from about 24 books of courthouse records on four reels of microfilm. The time frame is from about 1870 through 1929. The documents include Declarations of Intent filed in locations other then Osage County, but presented here for naturalization petitions. Over this time span legal documents were lost, replaced, changed format, etc. Therefore, what may seem to be a duplicate may not actually be.

When documents listed wives and children, these were added to the index causing duplication. In that event only one copy of the document would be sent to the patron. Occasionally, Interrogatories and/or Depositions were filed on behalf of petitioners. The names of the witnesses are not in this index.
