Our society
holdings include about thirty scrapbooks of newspaper clippings that have
been compiled by various donors. The time span covers much of the
twentieth century. The news items are generally of significant life
events such as marriages, family reunions, etc. The index of
these scrapbooks is an every-name index. For example, if you find the
name of a person of interest, he/she may have attended a recent wedding or
family reunion. We may or may not have a photo. These scrapbooks
were dependent upon the discretion or interest of the compiler. |
